Your Questions, My Answers
Where are you located?
I am located in southeast Calgary, in the Sundance area.
Where does the training take place?
We can work out together in your own home, outdoors, or in my own well-equipped fitness studio.
Are you a professional trainer?
Yes, I am a certified personal fitness trainer. Just check out the “About Me“ page for more details about my biography and certifications.
Why should I spend money on a personal trainer? I can do it by myself.
Of course, you can train alone. But I believe that my main purpose is to motivate you and develop a customized training program with you that corresponds to your requirements, problems, and goals. In
addition, I am mainly your advisor. I can detect when your posture is not quite right or when you are putting too much pressure on the wrong muscles. I can recommend running paths or the right
exercise.
How often do I have to or can I train with you?
That is entirely up to you and depends on the amount of time you have and how committed you are. Usually, I train with my clients twice a week.
What is an hour of bootcamp like?
There is no typical day – if you’re looking for “the same old thing”, then join a gym! You can expect a good mix of cardio exercises, speed runs, weight-training, mat work, TRX training, band work, kettlebell training, and so much more! Each session is designed to be fun and different. You need to know there’s a method to weight loss!
What kind of people come to bootcamp?
Some people never go because they are fearful of being the “slowest, or out of shape person there”. Don’t let insecurity stop you from becoming the person you deserve to be! The people that join camp are probably similar to you, looking for motivation, fantastic workouts a fun and effective way to tone up, to get in shape with other people, it’s it joining a fitness club where you have great supporters.
What if I can’t run?
Many new members can’t run so well, but in quick time they can! Running is a great cardio exercise, but I will never force you to run. However, I do expect you to keep moving! I encourage you to power walk, or jog on the spot to build your stamina. Soon enough you will be jogging and then running.
How much time will it take to lose weight?
Results vary per individual. A lot depends on your willingness outside of bootcamp to eat properly (portion control). Stop fattening night-time snacking, don’t miss a session and remember we should exercise at least 5 days a week. Most of the campers lose weight the very first week, and throughout the weeks at a healthy pace. One thing is for sure – IF YOU STICK TO IT- YOU WILL SEE RESULTS!
What if I can’t do some of the exercises?
If you can’t do some of the exercises, it’s NO PROBLEM. They will be modified, or changed to something that you can do! You will be encouraged to continue and to push yourself. However, if you are unable to run, or feel out of breath, lightheaded or ill, you will not be forced to continue. All I ask is that you keep moving to the best of your ability.
